In the last few years there have been some huge improvements in the crossbow world. I am a big believer in ‘change is a good thing’ which is why I have started using a compound crossbow.

Barnett Crossbows

All of Barnett’s Crossbows go with the saying “out with the old, in with the new”. Barnett has been at the forefront of crossbow technology since 1950.

Tikka – Gear Tech

There are four things to consider in the next riffle you choose. Consider the barrel, stock, action and the trigger.

Tikka – Testimonial

Here is why I use a Tikka Rifle. We all know how dedication and hard work it takes to put yourself in the right position, at the right time to make the right shot. When it comes to making the right shot, I want nothing than the Tikka in my hands.

Benelli – Gear Tech

Two years ago I talked about a shotgun that was revolutionizing the water-fowling world, now I bring you the evolution of the revolution, the Benelli Super Vinci. This gun has some impressive features. Watch the video to find out more.

Benelli – Testimonial

Here is why I shoot a Benelli. For the water-fowlers out there, you can relate to this; we all know how difficult it is to get out there and prepare ourselves for that successful duck hunt. You get up early, you put your decoys out, you have prepared you blind, for your gun to fail or jam at this point, would be frustrating beyond belief. This is one of the main reasons I choose to shoot a Benelli. The Benelli offers the hunter the ability to harness several different things. Watch video to find out more.

Under Armour – Gear Tech – Layering

Ever have a problem staying warm and dry when you are in the field? Here are a few guidelines to avoid such issues. Do not wear cotton based clothing as part of a layering system. Cotton might be fine for a little yard work, but once you get active, cotton actually works against you. Cotton traps moisture as opposed to releasing it. Leading clothing managers such as Under Armour have our backs.

Under Armour – Gear Tech – Scent Control

I am sure a lot of you hunters out there have hear some ups and downs about different scent control system in outdoor apparel. For years carbon based systems had led the way in this category. UA has taken the next step in introducing zeolite technology infused with silver.

Under Armour – Hints on Hunting

This is for all the ladies out there. For years trying to find specifically designed hunting clothing for women was next to impossible until now. UA has paid particular attention to a woman’s needs and has designed a whole new line of clothing that is warmer, dryer and more comfortable just for the ladies.

Bushnell – Gear Tech

I always have my hands wrapped around a pair of binos on almost every single episode. After all they are my second set of eyes. One of the most important items I look for is rain guard technology. This helps me not worry about condensation forming on my lenses.

Bushnell – Hints on Hunting

A smart hunter understands that you can scout quicker with your eyes than you can with your feet. Use your binocular to their fullest and you might just find binoculars are the best recon tool a hunter can have.

Bushnell – Testimonial

For years my binoculars of choice have been Built, by Bushnell. Bushnell continually advances binoculars technology to bring us the consumer a viewing experience like never before. With Bushnell you have binoculars that will last you years of hunting trips.

Bushnell – Gear Tech

How many of you have a hunting buddy that suffers from TO (Technology Obsessed). This disorder can run wild when it comes to trail cameras. What good are all the bells and whistles if you can not really on your trail camera to run properly. I recommend choosing a camera that provides me with the best in class battery life.

Bushnell – Testimonial

One of the most revolutionary tools that have hit the hunting market has got to be the trail camera. For those of you that watch the show, you know what I swear by – for those of you that don’t – there is only one trail camera I trust – trail cams built by Bushnell.

STIHL – Hints on Hunting

Any chainsaw not matter what it’s make or model, is only as good as it’s saw chain. Never ignore chain maintenance. If you do poor cutting is only one result. For good chain maintenance rules to follow watch the video.

STIHL – Hints on Hunting

Every once in a while there comes a machine on the market that is really going to make your life a lot easier. For me, the STIHL Kombi system saves me a lot of time. One of the key features with this system is that is operates out of one main power head. So now you don’t have 4-5 different machines lying around your garage. You have over a dozen head attachment to choose from. I need 4 main head attachments: the trimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, and the extension saw.

STIHL – Testimonial

If you are looking for a chainsaw brand that will last you a lifetime, I recommend STIHL. My grandfather used STIHL, my father user STIHL and now a reason why I choose to use STIHL. Let me explain; steel saws use offer unsurpassed engineering and reliability. This is something that future generations can appreciate. Watch video to learn more.

STIHL – Testimonial

The STIHL Kombi system has revolutionized how I tackle my outdoor tasks. Simply put, here is how it works. The Kombi systems allows you to choose over 15 different head attachments with the connivence of only having one main power head. Watch video to learn more.

John Deere – Gear Tech

Wether you are a farmer or recreational enthusiast, you will surely know that the introduction or UTV’s have become a recent hit in the last few years. They released their all new RSX850i. For more information watch video.

Wildgame Innovations – Gear Tech

It’s no secret that using attractants while you are in the field, raises your level of success. The biggest problem is trying to figure out what attractants to use. There are a few main types. Property and game management should be the main focus. I make it a staple that when I use attractants to have the mindset of nutrition, attraction and then action. The biggest thing to remember is to stay focused and make that shot count.

Flextone – Hints on Hunting

If you are anything like me you might have even more gear than what you actually need. As far as calls I carry 3 main types. The first type I like to use is a great locator call. A great call for this is Flextone’s Box of Tricks box call. Next is a great pot style call, and I trust the Scarface slate series. Another call I carry is the Run N Gun. I also carry a few mouth call. Watch video for more information.

Evolved Harvest – Hints on Hunting

If you are looking to plan and manage effective food plots on your property year round there are a few things you have to take into consideration. First is soil preparation. If I need to get to an area that I can not get farm machinery in, then I will use a no till formula. A great thing for this is Evolved Harvest Throw & Go. All I need is a normal garden rake to clear debris, throw the seed down, and let mother nature take care of the rest.

When it comes to getting that opportunity at that monster buck, bull or even that spring tom a big key in success is the ability to stay hidden. This is exactly where I trust Ameristep tree stands and ground blinds to have my back. As far as ground blinds, I love the option that the Harvester blind provides me. It has a split window curtain configuration so I can adjust the windows per my liking. For more information watch video.

Final Approach

I like to think of the F/A brands like a tool. If I was a carpenter, I wouldn’t go to work with out my hammer. As a hunter and hunting for a living, I sure don’t head into the field without having the right decoys and blinds. These decoys and blinds have some pretty nice features, like paint schemes and comforts, but when the time comes you can get them down right dirty or muddy and they will still preform. I wouldn’t hit the field without them.

Ram – Gear Tech

Last year I referred to my truck as like being a big tool box and the features that it contain were actually the tools themselves. I did not think it was possible but for 2013 my RAM 1500 definitely got a lot more tools. For more details watch video.

Ram – Gear Tech – Diesel vs Gas

I think it’s safe to say that in the last 5 years, there have been a lot of advancements in the truck market. For the person that is interested in getting a truck. They might be wondering “what should I get…gas or diesel?” Typically gas engines produce more power and quicker RPMs. However, diesels are on top of torque output. More more information watch video.

Ram – Testimonial RAM 2500

There are a few tools I need in my arsenal to conquer the great outdoors. The RAM 2500 is one of them. When you think about this truck, there is no better place to start than what is underneath the hood. The engine is specifically designed to handle the stress you are going to put on them, and they will keep on ticking. For more information watch video.

Cabela’s Canada

Canada’s got a new future on the hunting/fishing/outdoor horizon with Cabela’s Outdoor Stores hitting this country.
